If your company already offers major medical
You do not need to replace existing health insurance to evaluate or implement this strategy. Employees can continue using the doctors, networks and medical coverage they already have through the company's major medical plan.
The added program provides a separate layer of employee value rather than asking your company to start over with its core medical plan.
If your company does not offer group health insurance
You can still evaluate and implement the employer savings strategy. Existing major medical coverage is not a prerequisite for participation.
If an employee is not enrolled in the company health plan
That employee can still participate in the program. This can matter for a mixed workforce where some employees use a spouse's plan, individual coverage or another source of medical insurance.
